Established
in 1978, the firm of Bernard R. Dickman, CPA started as a small
part time operation, working out of an office in his house
located on his farm. In 1999 the firm moved into an office in
Grinnell, Kansas. In November of 2002 the firm added Bernard's
son, Jeremy Dickman, CPA to the practice as a staff
accountant.
Bernard R.
Dickman, CPA is a native of the Grinnell and Angelus
communities who has returned to his home community after
pursuing an accounting degree from Fort Hays State University
and passing the CPA exam. For 2 years he worked with a large
national accounting firm in an office located in Hays, Kansas
before deciding that it was just not for him and his young
family. And so in 1978 he came back to his small community
roots to open a sole practitionership dedicated to the needs of
the community that nurtured him. A family man, with a wife, one
daughter and two sons, Bernard has stayed active in his
community, both as a past girls basketball coach and a past
member of the Grinnell School Board. It's the small-town
homespun touch, combined with his thorough education and
training, that has helped Bernard provide quality services to
both the individuals and small businesses of Grinnell and the
surrounding communities. In keeping with the family atmosphere
of the practice Bernard added his son, Jeremy Dickman, CPA, to
the practice as a staff accountant in November of
2002.
